Kowloon & New Territories Tour |
Daily Operate
The tour starts from Kowloon Peninsula, we head northwest through
the densely populated districts of Kowloon, where a population density
reaches up to 100,000 per sq. km. We pass by Kwai Chung Container
Terminal, one of the world's largest. Then while driving
along Tuen Mun highway, we may see the Tsing Ma Bridge, the world's
longest suspension bridge that links the new Hong Kong Airport. Arrive
at Tuen Mun a newly developed satellite town, where the Ching Chung
Temple is located. The visit to the temple provides a brief introduction
to Taoism, the oldest religion in China with a traceable written history
dating back to 2700 B.C.

|
Along the high-speed motorway, the tour proceeds to Yuen Long, one
of the oldest market towns in the New Territories. Then we arrive
at Lok Ma Chau, one of the villages along the border of Hong Kong
and the Mainland China. There, we are taken up hill for a look at
the natural boundary, the Sham Chun River.

The tour then heads south, and passes by Fanling Golf Course, Tai
Po Village, the Chinese University, the world famous Sha Tin racecourse,
and Sha Tin new town, from where the legendary Amah Rock can be seen
in the distance. Emerging from the Lion Rock Tunnel as we head back
to the city.
