POINTS TO NOTE

Beijing:

Ming Tombs – they are not really interesting to the foreign tourists even though it is one of the World-Heritages, but could not truly reflect the value. Visitors have to spend quite a while to queue up before entering the grave site. After walking through a betony-tunnel, visitors could only see a replica of the original tomb.

Peking Duck in the Quanjude Restaurant – undeniable, it is one of the famous restaurant serving Peking Duck and is easlist known by the foreigners widely. In the meantime, the restaurant has been expanded and equipped with around 2000 seats. Somehow, negative feedback is received due to poor standard of services. As such, it is wiser to be a smaller restaurant where could experience a tasty Peking Duck.

Shanghai:

Excursion to Suzhou – we do not include the Tiger Hill in our itinerary as there is not much to see for a foreign visitor.

Xian:

Huaqing Hot Spring – visitors only find some old betony-pools that were used for bath by the former emperors.

Guilin/Yangshuo/Longsheng:

Guilin - Lunch to be served on Li River Cruise is not suitable for western travellers and therefore, it will be arranged at a local restaurant in Yangshuo after disembarkation.

Yangshuo- Optional evening tour of the show "Impression Sanjie Liu" creatively combines the classical Sanjie Liu's Songs, ethnic groups' culture and the fishing lights together, to reflect the harmonious atmosphere between human beings and the nature. The performance lasts for 70 minutes and 600 actors and actress are involved. Please note that the show will be cancelled for bad weather condition.

Yangshuo - It takes 2 hours approximately to finish the walking tour of Silver Cave which is 2km long. A pair of comfortable shoes is recommended.

Longsheng - The best travelling season to Longsheng is from March to April and July to December. It is raining season in May-June. The temperature in January & February could be as low as 3-4 degree up in the mountain.

Guangzhou:

Qingping-Market – It is not the place really interesting for foreigner and is now very touristy (for Chinese tourists). We prefer to take you for a walk in the old city center on Shamian Island.

Lhasa:

Travelling to Tibet is year round as the climate is similar to Europe with 4 seasons. It is warmer in the months of March to October, but there might be cloudy and rain. This is the high season for domestic travellers from China, and well-known sightseeing places could be very crowded. In the winter time from November to February, it is very dry with fine weather of clear blue sky days for most of the time. The temperature is around 10 degree during the day and could be dropped to 0 degree at night. There are fewer tourists but more Tibetan pilgrims going for their pilgrimage.

There are only 3 Tibetan German speaking guides in Tibet. In order to ensure "TIBETAN TOUR GUIDE" will be provided, we will assign English-speaking guide to conduct transfers and tours in Tibet. In line with the policy of local authority in Tibet, change of guide in the the mid way of tour is not allowed.

All visitors are required to obtain a valid entry permit before arrive in Tibet and our tour fare is inclusive of charges for application. China Visa copy and passport copy are required to forward to the local authority.

Yunnan:

Zhongdian – the official Chinese name is Shangri-La

Yunnan cuisine is an amalgam of Chinese and ethnic minorities cuisines. Somehow, it is not the right appetite to Western tourists.

Lijiang, Dali and Shangri-la only English speaking guide available and not up to National guide standard.

Yangtze:

Since 1997 there are quite a lot of local cruise liners operate cruising on Yangtze River with attractive lower tour fare. However, the facility on the cruise and the standard of service are not comparable to those brand name which are widely known by foreign tourists because of their reputable international class of services, such as Sanctuary Cruises, Victoria Cruises or China Regal Cruises.

Rate for Yangtze Cruise includes full broad on cruise and off shore program with English speaking guide. Other foreign language local tour guide could be arranged upon request, which is subject to availability and surcharge will be applied.

Yangtze Cruises are not sailing between late November to early of March due to the weather.

The Standard Cabin of Regal Cruise is well-appointed even though the dimension is approx 10sq.meter. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the cruise facility and off-shore program, might not stay long time inside the cabin during day time.

Sanya:

Round trip transfers airport-hotel-airport will be arranged by hotel transport with chauffeur and no guide will be provided. Unfortunately, local German-speaking guides in Sanya does not meet the standard as of other cities in China. We are afraid that inappropriate services will be extended to visitors.

Hotels:

Most of the hotels to be used for our tours are under the management of international hotel chain or the best available in those small cities.

Hotels of similar category will be provided in case of fully booked or renovation is undergoing.

Shopping:

Shopping- usually a sort of problem. Our guides are being clearly instructed that there is only one stop for shopping allowed in each city for visitors of our company.

You may find a lot of little shops are located at the sightseeing points or nearby the restaurants and the shop keepers are quite annoying to a certain extent. Unfortunately, it is all beyond our control at all.

Further elaboration of travel agent offering extremely low tour fare for China-Rountrips in the market :
Shopping commission normally considered as subsidy to those irresponsible travel agents. In order to compensate the loss caused by lower tour fare, tour guides have no other alternatives but are compelled to visit 3 to 4 shops with visitors. It is obviously guests will be unsatisfied with a tour of spending 1 hour at the Great Wall but waste 5 hours on shopping unwillingly.
